Looking forward to MAGA input.

Mine has consistantly been join the rest of the civilized world to assure cradle to grave, not ER, raise the funds to make this happen, whatever means necesary.

Only response I anticipate from MAGA is lol, because they really have nothing else to contribute.
Except declaring there is no problem.
Which is the problem and detached from reality

Nah. We need much less government interference with health care. Not more.

Also, I didn't read the twitter thread.
 
I don't think anyone believes our healthcare system isn't terribly flawed. The thing people disagree about is how to fix it.
 
Well Medicare covers around 70% of the costs. Private insurance makes up the difference or else these hospitals couldn't survive.

The VA is a total disaster.

Medicare is bankrupt.

But yeah, let's them MOAR control over it

We've discussed this numerous times. You always want MOAR MOAR MOAR government despite the disastrous results of what that does. MOAR government always means increased costs and worse quality.

The US government spends MOAR on healthcare than any other country in the world. We spend MOAR every single year than the proceeding one.

If it wasnt for the innovation of the private sector the whole system would be a complete disaster

We can all agree ACA is not the ideal and we can do better.
But, MAGA has yet to put snother proposal on the table.
As noted elsewhere it was promised. I guess dangling a carrot in front of a Rally passes for policy

Defending status quo and denying a problem is for lack of a better word, idiotic
 
Come 8 AM or so, whenever MAGA Hour begins, rather than gathering up even as broad a proposal as I did what we will get is
Posters xyz are stupid, Pocahontas, sleepy Joe, mock Abrams for her color and weight and of course California got nothing on Indiana or Iowa.

But still, no Health Care plan, or alternative to ACA.
 
Creating a healthcare system is irrelevant if the people are unhealthy.

Nothing will “work”

Once upon a time conservatives took these kinds of issues seriously and put forth well-thought out plans for market-based reform of our healthcare system. Hopefully, we will see a return to this constructive spirit.

If you got serious about promoting well being and not just healthcare I’d be one of the largest proponents of the plan.

We could spend half of what we do on healthcare and get better results if we pushed the right lifestyles with people and those that make choices against a healthy lifestyle should be responsible for their own bad health outcomes.

True. The ACA incorporated quite a few good conservative ideas on healthcare reform. But it's overall thrust was more regulatory and government oriented than market oriented. An example of market oriented reform would be one that consisted of healthcare vouchers that people could use to buy health insurance and meet out-of-pocket costs, and a much less regulated market and varied set of choices on insurance plans. Give people more choice. Introduce more competition and experimentation with different kinds of coverage.
