...which is exactly where my wife was going with me. Unfortunately for her, I taped the entire thing and she looked very bad in front of the judge. 20 minute lecture and she lost it all. Now, with a little time, it's kind of sad, but at the time, it was survival against some very long odds.

Yep. WAS Mrs. Guv. Don't do drugs, kids. Even the ones the doc prescribes. Or in her case, eight different docs. And I had to overcome a huge presumption against men. Cost me every cent I had, but I got the kids and myself out alive.

Just sayin', maybe we don't have the whole story. I remember Warren Moon doing a very public mea culpa in a domestic violence situation....20 years ago? He was raked over the coals by the usual suspects. Then a few years ago, in the context of a divorce proceeding, it came out that she had some serious mental health issues (BPD) and was the aggressor. And I totally empathized with the guy, 'cause he had fallen on his sword in a very public way and he wasn't the problem.

The new Mrs. Guv is lovely, BTW.

Get back to me after your wife makes false DV claims in divorce court at the suggestion of her lawyer and you get barred from seeing or contacting your kids for years while she tells them you want nothing to do with them.

Yeah, certainly there's no cultural hangover from the fact that women have only been fully enfranchised citizens of this country for less than a century.

Given Olivera's extended absence, it will be interesting to see what the Braves do in left once Inciarte comes back. Options include:

1) Mallex Smith (with Francoeur/Stubbs getting some time against lefties)

2) Moving Adonis Garcia to left, which in turn would open up time at third for KJ and Beckham.

3) Mostly playing Peterson in left (with Francoeur/Stubbs getting some time against lefties). The PT at second would be shared by KJ & Beckham.

4) Mostly playing KJ in left (with Francoeur/Stubbs getting some PT agasint lefties).

I get the impression that the team wants Garcia to settle in at third. But if he continues to struggle defensively, I would like to see option 2, with Mallex going back to AAA.

I also get the impression that the team likes Peterson's outfield defense. So I would guess that option 3 is most likely.
