I agree with this. It's a lot like the people who voted for Biden while the signs of mental decline could be seen by dead blind people. It was about taking the White House from Trump. Voting for Herschel is about taking the Senate from Schumer. Mitch and the party can prop Walker up much more easily and effectively than the Dems have Biden, Harris, and the DEI administration.

I could list off a laundry list of his policies and what he's accomplished but I'm sure you'll just come back and call me a racist, homophobe, seal or one of your many colorful and very insightful adjectives. They'll have to prop Herschel up just like the Weekend at Bernie's dude bc that's about as much as Herschel will offer. This is also assuming he doesn't try and kill himself again with a gun. It's sad that that sentence even had to be typed but sadly it's true.

Just a reminder to those who don't remember the genesis:

1) The $1.9 trillion stimulus plan (too big by about 50%) was first championed by the unholy alliance of Senators Sanders and Hawley

2) very poorly chosen one also pushed for "going big"

3) However, Mitch said it was too much and blocked it while he could.

4) The two Democratic candidates for Senate in Georgia campaigned heavily on the idea

5) Polling shows it was a popular idea with Georgia voters (though I'm sure not the more fiscally responsible ones who post on these boards)

6) Loss of senate control meant Mitch could no longer play Senator No.

7) The rest is history.

After he and Ossoff won, the plan they campaigned on was passed. If you want to blame someone, my post above provides a list. Personally, I think the voters of Georgia deserve more of the credit (blame).

You have no made a position in defense of Warnock. you have made no argument based on policy from either candidate

Warnock is a brand new Senator that has had only 2 years on the job. He's really done nothing but tow the party line like new Senators are expected to do. If Walker wins he'll tow the party line too.

I honestly don't know who to vote for in this election. Walker...has issues. He's also most likely just a puppet for Republican handlers.

I firmly believe Warnock is a charlatan. A cynical leader who uses a religious position to advance his personal power. I don't believe you can actually be both a genuine pastor and a US Senator. I'd have more respect for Warnock had he resigned from Ebeneezer Baptist Church upon winning his seat. I'd have even more respect if he'd resigned upon announcing his candidacy. Keeping his role there and serving in the Senate makes me lose all respect for the man. I don't trust any minister who is willing to wield the power of political office and the power of their religious position simultaneously.

What a choice we in Georgia have.
