Never really was a Louis CK fan but I know he’s popular.

Canceled his Colbert appearance. Apparently since Weinstein thing LCK’s team has just been counting down the days for his name to be out there.

Spacey’s career is effectively over. Looks like CK’s will be too.

My list of names of people I’d be heartbroken if their names would be accused:
Hanks
De Niro
Samuel L
Neeson
Lucas
Colbert

As far as comedians go I hear Chris Rock is respectful to women. Norm MacDonald and Chappelle would really suck.

Jesus ****ing christ.

I'm glad this is all finally coming out. There are going to be so many more.

Insane how many men were able to get away with this for so long. It never ends.

How on earth do we begin to stop this?

Just made a thread about this in the other forum.

Spacey
CK
Tambor
Seagal (though this was probably obvious for yea

I want to know what happened to that UK child sex ring that was being exposed and had lots of powerful people confidential.

Seems like the more appropriate thread to ask this question.

I know nothing about any of these new allegations. But am curious - it seems like we're dangerously auto-assuming guilt these days, and I think that invites a lot of fake allegations.

We see it all the time with fake hate crimes. Now I can imagine any woman coming forward to take down a powerful man either for money, attention, or simply ruining the reputation of someone she may not like.

Just my $0.02. I know it's not popular in today's #metoo controversy of the month

Darn you for putting Hanks on that list. I never even imagined the possibility. That would cause me physical pain.

Hanks was named most-trusted man a few years ago.

I think he’s the one celebrity that people on all sides of the spectrum just respect and admire. Yeah if his name game out I’d be very sick.

I'm unsure what's going on with Tambor. I hope it's not true, but if it's anything remotely similar to what Weinstein and CK were accused of then he's gotta go to.

How are we supposed to act in situations when it's simply aggressive flirting? Does a cock have to be pulled out to warrant ostracizement?

I suppose some guys don’t get the hint when aggressive flirting isn’t wanted and take it as a playing hard to get type of thing.

And for celebs if some of them feel their power and stature is enough to do it and get away with it they will unfortunately. And it’s not like it’s just celebs and politicians too. Happens in your everyday workplace.

i personally have never risked crossing that line. If I’m courting or flirting with an interest if I have to work that hard in terms of flirting or hard to get I just don’t even bother with it anymore. Younger me would probably have done something borderline stupid. But not anymore. As Detective Murtaugh said: “I’m gettin too old for this ****”

I hear you. I'm happily married and I feel like that alone makes my life far less complicated.

Oh and add Matt Weiner (creator of Mad Men) to the list:

"But Ms. Gordon hasn’t worked in television since. Her confidence was crushed, she said, by an earlier incident involving Mr. Weiner. While working together late one night, she alleges he said she owed it to him to let him see her naked. A year later, she was let go from the show, which sparked media coverage speculating on the reasons. Those experiences made her feel “shame and regret.”"

C2C: not sure how to process this one. Weiner crossed the line, but it's obviously not as aggrecious as others (at least for now). I do like how the threat of being exposed is going to clean up most of the problems in Hollywood, but I am not sure if something like this needs to be made public. A more sustainable fix to the industry is to create a climate where victims can confront their abusers, but I guess this has been tried and failed to be implemented.

Is it bad that my first reaction to Louis C.K. was “I hope Netflix doesn’t cancel their deal to do another stand up special?” I know he had signed on to do two specials and the first came out earlier this year. IMO he’s the best of all time.

So, the GOP is just trying to make sure everyone knows they are morally bankrupt?

I think his special was already recorded. Just a matter of if Netflix will make it available to watch. Which at this point won’t be for a long time.
