Puig Mania!

Look at how much movement Chris Davis has in his swing. Just goes to show that as long as you have a good path to the baseball you can have a lot of movement. Hope for Heyward to become an elite hitter.

I wonder how much ESPN paid Berman to make up that story about Bryce hitting a 570 foot homerun in high school? Does anyone really believe that BS? I've never even heard of a 570 foot homerun in major league game let alone a HS game. Mickey Mantle was known for his monster homeruns and his longest homerun ever recorded was like 565 feet.

Pretty sure ESPN did a whole thing about that.
It was at Trpoicana Field with a metal bat. But still...I think he was like 16.

Yeah you are correct. I'm not sure of the exact details but I recall Harper being in a home run derby at Tropicana for high schoolers and he set the record (at the time) for longest homer at the stadium. But as you said it was with a metal bat so there is that. So I doubt he's making that up as there was story about it when Harper was first getting hyped.

Berman wasn't even talking about that. He was talking about back in Bryce's home town in Las Vegas he hit a 570 foot homerun.

That was "only" 507 feet though.

But is 507 feet really that much less impressive than 570 feet? forget it... wrong thread.

No 507 feet is impressive especially for a high school kid. I don't even think it's possible to hit a 570 foot homerun inside Tropicana Field as small as it is, the rings and speakers and all that other nonsense that don't belong inside a baseball stadium.

other than cespedes' first and last rounds, it was garbage

they need to add more competitions for the all star break
