Maybe Floyd will be back in September when another one goes down. Honest to God, I don't think I've ever seen anything like this.
 
Lots of pitchers get hurt though. We've just been super fortunate in the past to avoid it happening to key pieces.
 
Braves have a ton of guys with bad mechanics. Medlen also has the honor of being short which is notoriously bad for a starter. Relievers are usually relievers because they can't hack it as starters, usually cause of mechanics, so they're usually prime injury candidates. That being said, the way Venters was abused certainly played a part.
