It's OVER 5,000!
Consider the implications of "who am I to judge"
About the same as for what Robertson said.
Consider the implications of "who am I to judge"
While I understand your point, I say we all have in-born proclivities to sin. Mine might be different than your's but I've still got them. The question is, what do we do with them.
Part of freedom is dealing with the consequences of your actions.
You said that very well Zeet, but do you REALLLLLLY mean it? I mean all the way to the bone and not just because it's usage in this particular series of events???
Think it over before you answer my friend.
Well let's be honest, those beestards had it coming!!!You and I disagree on this basic- I don't see Homosexuality as a choice and therefore it can not be a sin.
I know I might be yet again painting with a broad brush but while I used to see it as a choice, I don't really anymore. I'm not 100% sure what I call it but while I do think it's a choice a person has sex with, I don't think it's a conscious choice which gender a person is attracted to. Like I said I'm not totally sure how to put it into words but I think there's WAY more to it than any of us can visualize.
I'm sure there was a time not too long ago left handed people were burned at the stake.

That's more or less what people in higher parts of the catholic church are saying.I realize I'm not a minister (and most people are pretty happy about that) but my take on that word would require you to specify, are we talking about judging an action or judging the person doing said action? It is my understanding and belief that we have not only the right but the responsibility to judge actions (though admittedly we don't always have broadcast every time we do) but we do not have the right to judge the person doing the action.
Now Bedell or anyone else more enlightened than I can set me straight on this.
I think Bedell fears that his church's and other church's rights will be infringed upon, which I really don't think will ever happen and so far the Supreme Court has upheld a church's right to marry who they want to.
For example, the catholic church will not marry you if you've been divorced. Legally in America you can get divorced. The US government in it's nearly 240 years has not forced the catholic church to marry someone who's been divorced.

My respect for Z in this thread has went way up, way to go son.
Bedell, you nailing it with Okie bringing in the relief.
Long day for me with the kids and CHRISTMAS. The light show and park was awesome for the family. We even had fireworks which with snow on the ground makes it looks even more awesome.
Yes I really mean it. For example I believe that no one should be put in jail for doing drugs. But you have to deal with the consequences of doing said drugs. I love beer. I adore beer. I drink beer many times. If I drink beer to a certain point then drive I done effed up and anything that happens to me is my fault.
OK so rights DO come with responsibilities whether we like it or not???? Are there some actions we take while exercise those rights that even if we can legislate it to be otherwise, or come up with some drug, or religious practice, or surgical procedure, or new reality show, or political action committee, or public apology after we say stuff we wish we hadn't said, it's still there, a permanent "consequence" of our actions, NO MATTER WHAT???
Hey AA you brew anything recently?
Good.
Thankfully I got Bedell to back me up. I thought I was on an island surrounded by Great Whites wanting to take a chunk out of my fat ass.
Actually I did. Some Applejack.
It was potent. When you take off the top, you think it was Everclear. I was going to get a hydrometer and see the alc content, it had to be close to 50 percent. I fed yeast for about a week and let it set 3 months, feeding it sugar every two weeks and they ate it all and sh itted alcohol in the process.
Have any president in our history lied so much? I worshiped Clinton so it is not a Rep/Dem thing to me, I vote for either if they are right for the job and he wasn't. I heard things about him before he ran and it was true.
Nice!
I brewed up a small batch of barleywine as I described in some other thread a few weeks ago. On Monday I"m having a surprise brewing session with my brother. We'll be brewing an IIPA. Should be amazing I need to price it out though to make sure it's not too bad or I'll be subbing out some Centennials for Columbus. Columbus is my favorite bittering hop. But I'm hoping to make a really citrusy IPA.
