Ian Anderson Is Back

Anderson has racked up -0.6 WAR in 9 1/3 IP with seven walks, 17 hits and an ERA of 11.57.

Guys, he's just done.
He doesn't need to start another game. But he might be useful out of the pen. Certainly it looks like Dodd might be benefitting from that transition. I would rather Ian work on that in Gwinnett though.

He can't go to AAA without clearing waivers. He is out of options if I am remembering correctly. This is AA just trying anything to cover his dumb ass offseason disaster. I honestly don't know if he is any worse than Holmes as a starter at this point. That is not a compliment either.

You guys are funny. He was coming out of the pen for the Angels and was the worst pitcher in the league. He can’t get anyone out regardless of.

The Statcast data puts his fastball velocity this year at 93.7 MPH, which is slower than his starter days. He sure doesn't seem to be enjoying that massive reliever velocity spike people have been counting on.

If I were putting money on it, I'd say Ian is done... but I could see him figuring it out in the BP. He's definitely done as a starter.
