Ichiro and the Quest for 3000 MLB hits

Ichiro is playing on a division rival in a fairly limited role. He's been in all 13 games, but only started 5. His current pace is about 62 hits because of his limited PA. which would still leave him about 100 shy of 3000. I really want to see Ichiro get to 3000, and I'd relaly love to see him do it this year. He would probably be one of the fastest to reach that milestone as well, and considering he didn't move over here until he was 27, that's hyper impressive.

It is worth noting that he has over 4000 professional hits between Japan and the US.

I would love to trade for him to play LF and just try to get to 3000, but I know that doesn't mesh with the Mukaki rebuild.
 
I am always rooting for him regardless of what uniform he is wearing... I hope that he gets to 3,000 MLB hits...Clearly one of the best pure hitters of the 2000's....
