If I were named Braves manager, I'd ...

Getting rid of Eddie Perez would be stupid. He's a Braves lifer, a la Bobby Dews, he is a successful winter league manager and would be a tremendous catching coach should guys like Murphy and Herbert (much less Astudillo) get the eventual call.

I'm all for making Eddie the manager full time.

TP was not a bad hitting coach.. in fact he was the last hitting coach to get a team to score over 700 runs in a season.

here is a pretty good article on his tenure. http://www.talkingchop.com/2010/4/27/1446842/terry-pendleton-is-not-a-bad

I think the thing on Pendleton is that he clashed with a few of the younger guys about being more aggressive early in the count. Ironic that the last time we had more than 600 walks in a season was Pendleton's last year as hitting coach (2010) and we haven't scored as many runs as Pendleton's last year either (738 in 2010 and 700 in 2012 is the closest since). I fully realize that talented players make the biggest difference in all of this, but the musical chairs of hitting coaches certainly hasn't produced the hoped-for results.
