Immigration crisis

Entering the country illegally is already evidence of a criminal. I don't need to justify any sympathy beyond that point

Somewhere between 30-40% of asylum cases are successful in any given year.

I know you would like to decide for the rest of us what is legal or illegal.

Sadly, that's not how it works. We have a court system, including immigration courts, that make these determinations.

So why put a limit or cap on border crossings at all? Seems you are in favor of it

I actually do think the system has broken down. Some things I support:

1) Empower border agents to make a preliminary determination of whether an asylum seeker has a good chance of succeeding. If not they can be deported immediately and can continue to pursue their case from outside the country.

2) Increase resources (another word for $$$) to hire more immigration judges. That way cases can be processed more quickly. This would reduce the incentive to come here and game the system, knowing it will take years for a case to wind through the system.

3) Give the president the power to suspend some of the laws regarding asylum when there is a surge. I suspect attempts to do this via executive order will not withstand judicial scrutiny, so a change in law will be necessary.

You know how you control the border?

Deport 10m illegals with force and tax remittances.

Like magic nobody will come across the border illegally.

Every illegal immigrant is a criminal. 100%

I would put the caveat that every immigrant that comes here illegally is a criminal. But somewhere around 30% of illegal immigrants came here legally and have simply let their visas expire, sometimes at no fault of their own because the courts are so backlogged.

It happens a lot. They overstay their legal right to be in this country. Technically they are criminals. Some of them eventually find ways to regain their legal status. Some of them are now quite famous. Others come here on tourist visas and take jobs and are paid under the table. Also technically criminals. I am for prosecuting. Mostly because I want to enjoy the irony when the GOP backpedals furiously because Trump voting small business owners start crying about losing half their workers.

When people tell you who they are you should listen.

No morals, just complete political lined thoughts for their own ****s n giggles.

Paul Pelosi's gay lover was here illegally. Another reason to secure the border!! The northern border in this particular instance.

The 12 year old girl that BL would rather sacrifice than close our border looks to have been sexually assaulted before she was strangled and dumped in a creek.

Dem representative from Pennsylvania, said she doesn’t know anything about it
