DeSantis is well positioned to get very poorly chosen one's endorsement if he doesn't run himself. Haley has burned the bridge. Ditto Pence. Cruz and Hawley have self-immolated. Cotton has some minor demerits (such as not voting to disenfranchise Arizona and Pennsylvania). Those are plusses in my book but apostasy to the base.
Could be DeSantis and Noem competing for who is the trumpiest candidate in 2024. Maybe Pompeo too.
I think there will be some explicitly anti-trump candidates (maybe Hogan or Liz Cheney), but they will be mainly running to make a statement. No way someone like that gets nominated.
