Why was trump trying to get to the bottom of clear corruption a bad thing?

Numerous ressons.
- theres proper procedure to go through for investigations but instead of going that route he tried to do so in all manner that concealed the fact that he was personally involved in getting the ingestion opened.
- he asked for a public announcement of the opening of an investigation. The only purpose of publicly announcing it was to help the narrative the Trump campaign wanted to tell. If he was truly interested in justice he should have asked that the investigation not be public until it was finished.
- Trump stopped aide that Congress legally mandated most go to Ukraine.
- Trump and Giuliani are biased partisan figures who should not be involved in investigations of political opponents. Remember all the crying about Srrozk and Paige. Apply that to this.
Trump could have made a criminal referral to the AG. Politicians do it all the time. He could have personally ordered the AG to investigate it which would have been a huge scandal. Ukraine is treaty bound to assist in any US criminal investigation. So at any time he could have had the OG AG open an investigation and require Ukraines assistance. Maybe you can give me some good reason ms he disnt go that route other than he was trying to hide the origin of the start of the investigation?
