Yeah, the violence seems to always come from the left. Seems to be where most of the over emotional loonies are.

He got the benefit of the doubt from everyone except the far right, which labeled him the Anti-Christ, a secret agent Muslim out to take down America, using the military to round up our guns, etc. So, no, I'm not going to spare anyone on either side the pointing out of the enormous hypocrisy that runs through the political thoughts of so many people in this country.
 
Interesting speech by Trump. Stuck with the populist message that carried him into office. Between him and Sanders, populism was clearly resonating with the public. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out going forward.
 
It is unfortunate what is happening in my own backyard at the moment. All the riots and smokeboms going off... people getting hurt.

I remember when the left was appalled that Trump wouldn't flatly accept the peaceful transition of power. Hypocrisy is nothing new, of course
 
CNN is suggesting this particular incident a couple of blocks away is just professional protesters who show up to these things to air their grievances with cops.

"I'm not sure what they're protesting."

Again, what is more representative of what you call "the left"? A handful of black-bloc anarchist dickholes or the—again—hundreds of thousands of permitted protesters who will peacefully protest this weekend?

I will disclaim these folks and their actions collectively and individually. They're way outside the mainstream and, by definition, outside the process. Hopefully my homies on the right will do the same?

I definitely have a bigger problem with the left than the right. They want to control everything and if you disagree with them then you are a racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, pig.

But then I go home to my family and end up trashing Republicans because both sides are such hypocrites it makes me sick

To be fair, I seem to recall many (not you) decry the outbreak of racially motivated violence performed in Trump's name. Lot's of unfair generalizing done by both sides.

There are so many people that are tangentially (by tangential - I mean react to headlines/soundbites) involved with politics in their every day life that they get so worked up over the most trivial things. Maybe politics should be treated how we should treat your investment accounts. Do an inventory once or twice a year and be done with it the rest of the time. Social media has completely poisoned the trough.
