Interesting stat on Aaron Harang

To be a fly ball pitcher he has only surrendered 2 homeruns in 60 IP. That is pretty dang impressive. Yeah FW really missed on this signing and letting Freddy Garcia go,lol.

HR/fly ball is pretty random. It seems to mainly reflect luck, rather than a particular pitcher's skill in keeping the ball in the park.

I am impressed, however, by Harang's strikeout and walk rates. They suggest more of a chance he can remain an effective pitcher than the data did after his first three or four starts.

Yeah, let's hope that HR/FB ratio can last a year. Playing in Atl outside of the summer helps.
