over where? I don't hate him.. just like I don't Bowman..

that said, I am not too worried about Maitan.. we have been linked for over a year now. I have a feeling it is a fluff piece to get subscribers.

KLaw: Yes, they'd still be at the top. The Astros managed to grab more college guys in the draft and more near-in prospects in trades, though, so I think Atlanta's rebuild may take longer. That's good, because by the time their prospects are ready in 2019 or so, people trying to get to games at The Big Con in 2017 will have found parking.

Because he is an idiot that knows very little about baseball. His "connections" are due to having a radio show that covers the Braves, so of course he gets interviews.

Read any of his articles about baseball and it is clear how ignorant he is. He once stated a good measure of player value is "multiple hit games".

On top of all that, he ran the most popular Braves message board for a while, and completely abused the little bit of power that distinction gave him.

He is a clown, period. He brings absolutely nothing to the table, and tries to charge for it.
 
Ben Badler was asked if the Braves/Padres are in best position to get some of the Red Sox guys. Here's what he said: "Teams going over their bonus pool this year are in the best position to get them."

They had a limit of $300K per prospect last signing period. But got around that by packaging prospects together with the same handler. So while they would pay $600K for two players. One would get $450K and the other $150K

I thought it went deeper than that.. like across years. So they paid 5 million for prospect A and if that handler had someone coming up the next period or two, they would pay 300K but apply some of that other money like you said. either way.. sneaky.. I think the whole Int'l period thing will go bye bye this off season.

Wonder if this is a way to drive up his price for Atlanta and make it harder for us to sign guys we are not already linked to. Maybe it is time for Coppi to get on the horn and call some other gNat guys.

I'm pretty sure it was like.. they paid 300k upfront.. but then gave a $1 million+ checks to the trainers to give the the players..
If I remember correctly that is

So if they signed every player for 300k they'd have been fine even if they went over pool limit?

How does that compare with us getting ready to go past the cap?
