And also, the friends I've made in my life (which includes you guys that I've been posting with for over 10 years) has more than softened the blow.

I feel sorry(er) for those worse off than me or those in seemingly better situations (physically) who are otherwise unable to reach their potential.

All got crosses to bear and thankfully mine's felt much lighter heading into my 28th year.
