Is all this Braves' rebuilding really necessary?

We are way too focused on what will happen the first couple of months next season.

This is longer term than that, but will be far faster rebuild than many of you are thinking. All of the dozen or so new prospects will not break out, and I'm sure we will hear from some of you about each one who doesn't, but there are some high ceilings among these new guys. Some of them will become very good players, and the Braves will be active in filling the few holes in the lineup that will remain when this happens.

The team was not going to compete for a championship next year with pretty much the same core as last year, and it would have been downhill from there. They are much closer now than they were at the end of the season.

Just my opinion, of course, but isn't that what we all offer on a discussion board? I've heard many opinions here. I'll just add mine.
