Is Anybody REALLY Going To Watch Tonight???

I think we all agree that we aren’t very good and have no business buying … but the Mets just gave up a walk off grand slam and we’re three games back.

I don’t know what AA can do. But selling everything at a point like this just doesn’t seem like a realistic option - even if I wish he would.

I am okay with this as long as the buys are 2022 controlled and possibly beyond unless they can get rentals for fringe prospects.

Wow at the Mets falling apart! With deGrom hurting and Lindor out for a little while we aren’t out of it as bad as the division is.

I'm in the minority as a white grown male but I like this lineup. Get TDA back, maybe Ozuna, who knows but in like it

This is why I still like the idea of a deal for Gibson/Gallo. The problem is I'm not convinced AA would make the deal even if he comes up with a package Daniels would take.

Gotta admire Kevan Smith making it to the majors. I figured he’d be tied up making Zack and Miri make a porno 2.

The feeble stab at the Matzek breaking ball that struck out Arozarena but went all the way to the backstop made me think it was the other Kevin Smith that was behind the plate.

Can anyone explain why Lucroy was told to hit the bricks ahead of Smith and Vogt? This is likely the worst combo catching duo the Braves have had since Gerald Laird/Evan Gattis. At least Gattis' bat gave them an excuse to play him.

Good question. I honestly think the pitchers like throwing to Smith more than they did to Contreras and Lucroy and we'll have to see about Vogt. I think they are trying to squeeze the last bit of offense out of Vogt until the return of d'Arnaud. Pitchers can be a finicky bunch about who they are throwing to (witness the rise of "personal catchers" throughout the majors) and that might be in play here.
