It also ignores the AI reliance these companies have of what content you engage with. So of course me a rational human being who hangs out on Normal twitter won't see posts from MTG. And I'll see more posts from people I engage with than people I scroll by. Shocker. It happens to me on youtube. I constantly lose recommendations. I have to go out and find them. Some pages I sub to don't even show because I don't engage with that content.

AI isn't programmed. AI is a learning mechanism. Algorithms are programs. AI is a learning tool. There are algorithms and things that set up the AI but the point of the AI is to grow and adapt to the core programming. Which for social media sites, is all about engagement. All it cares about is content that people share, like, comment, etc. There's a reason every youtube video says "Like, Subscribe and hit that notification button" and any giveaway involves comments and likes and **** like that. Because that's what they're there for. People who think they're shadowbanned, are simply not making content that people want to engage with for one reason or another.
