Is Free Speech Under Attack in this Country?

It's not a "preferred" name. It's now officially called the Gulf of America.

If outlets want to play politics to stick it to Trump that's their prerogative.

However, they won't be doing their nonsense at the White House.

You can call the White House petty but so is the AP.

Officially its name according to whom? The United States government is free to call this international body of water whatever the **** it wants, but that doesn’t make it “officially” its name outside of that purpose. This ultra woke White House is about one turn away from throwing out the phrase dead-name.

**** man, you guys seriously did the “re-name the confederate monuments” shtick but with a thing you don’t own, and are calling the opposition to that nonsense.

They re-named things. Now you’re re-naming things *and* pretending anybody who doesn’t agree is a liar.

Edited to add: except of course you can only re-name your thing for the purposes of the US government and other countries and people still just call it what they want.

Wokely re-naming a fort to stop honoring a literal traitor: bad, erasing history, compelled speech.

Basedly re-naming an international body of water to be rad and patriotic: strong, objectively correct, important enough to restrict access to the most boring news agency over.
 
I think the gulf of America thing is stupid but we also just came off a president to claimed to have added an amendment to the constitution via tweet and law schools called it settle law.

To be fair, the Biden Administration wasn’t pretending we’ll go insolvent if we don’t immediately stop treating HIV in Africa, so I think it’s actually quite reasonable to question why we’re wasting money on trivial vanity projects at the moment.

Found the first 5 minutes of this clip pretty relevant to what we’ve been talking about with Elon. For a free speech absolutist, he seems pretty unwilling to actually back it up when it becomes obvious he’s going to end up on the negative end of that stick.

Stewart whines how we're treating our allies. How have they been treating us? Are they our allies now that they're quickly becoming totalitarian?
