Companies do what they think is best for their bottom line. You have a free market solution if you dont like it. Or are you two arguing in favor of more government regulation of private companies? Last I checked none of us have a right to their platform. Social media is a cesspool. Never participated in twatter or facebook and still have no plans to.
 
Well, I'm generally in favor of more regulation and less corporate power, so that isn't the best argument to use on me. But I agree with your overall point. It's a weird case where rational people can see the harm being done by the siloing on social media. Censoring one side of the spectrum only makes that worse. But yeah, they're cesspools for sure.
 
Without having fully investigated I think the claims of being unfair are not entirely accurate and I would be surprised if the WalkAway campaign wasnt using bots or fake accounts to push their narrative. Someone like Alex Jones absolutely deserves to be banned and I say that having watched thousands of hours of Alex Jones before Trump ever came down the escalator. He's always been nuttier than pet racoon.

Without knowing more about that situation I do not approve of that. I would suspect it has something to do with moderating organization of violence. Hearing that makes me want to get a parler acount though.
 
UPDATE: The calls for violence over on Parler are getting much, much worse.

There are now open calls for the murder of police officers and planning for violence on January 20th

This obviously severely violates the law, much less the @AppStore and @GooglePlay rules.
