Is Free Speech Under Attack in this Country?

That's speculation on his part. Only you know what is in your mind. But it doesn't strike me as wildly implausible speculation.

I don't say this disrespectfully. But from chatting with you over the years, I get the impression (and I want to label this as clearly speculation on my part) that the culture wars and a sense of dismay about the evolution of social attitudes is one of the strongest animating factors behind your posting. I have an impression similar to cajun's that there is a sense of loss and being on the side that is losing ground that animates your posting. But maybe cajun and I are both wrong.

Btw, I might mention that many social groups (including religions) often are at their strongest when beleaguered or marginalized. The history of the Catholic Church in England is something that has always interested me. As we both know, it has been suppressed and persecuted by "the establishment" in various ways for a very long time. I think of it as a diamond, however. The processes that form a diamond have in an analogous way formed the English Catholic Church today. Of course no one involved enjoyed the formative process. But I do want to suggest that not being part of the mainstream establishment culture has its consolations.

The decline of morality and the celebration of the decline are certainly the biggest motivating factors for me. Culture, honor, politics, and success all follow morality. We're a nation in decline. The only way to fix that is to fix the nation's morals. Unfortunately we have the worshipers of the progressive faith working harder than those of the Abrahamic faiths right now.

None of that has anything to do with an assertion of clearly inaccurate vote totals.

I'm pretty sure that cajun's fictional vote total was a little jab aimed at a couple posters who make some claims in the opposite direction.

The 'audits' of Fulton county had falsified vote counts.

They knew they had to cheat to match election day.

Avert your gaze.

Sounds like the adherents of the Abrahamic faiths need to improve their work ethic. I always thought it was the lefties who were the slackers.

We of the Abrahamic faith aren't supported by the trillions of dollars of Silicon Valley and the global aristocracy.

Well this is what I meant when I referenced the "consolations" of being part of a beleaguered and marginalized group. There is nothing like a Goliath to unite and energize such a group. Have at it.

Agreed. They should work harder while they still legally can. The authoritarian left is growing stronger by the day. I'm sure that religious symbols and evangelism will be deemed hate crimes for hurting someone's feelings relatively soon.

Interestingly, the swastika was once a Hindu symbol. For fertility I believe. So it can happen. Sacred symbols have a way of being appropriated.

It seems to me one of the things going on in our culture wars is the appropriation of sacred symbols for political purposes. For those who really care about those symbols (and more importantly the values that are represented by those symbols), this is a dangerous thing. I don't expect you to agree. But there are people of faith who see this as a danger.

For example:

It seems to me that all Christians should be troubled by this sort of political appropriation of our sacred symbols.

A large part of the 'Trump movement' was the religious right being sick of being persecuted and having poisonous/demonic ideas forced onto their families.

I find it interesting and unsurprising that the lecturer is spending time in certain threads and avoiding others

Social Progressives have literally set up pro abortion funds inside denominational governing bodies, multiple denominations have split due to some progressives disagreeing with significant biblical instructions, and you're pulling out a picture of a cross with a Trump flag?

perfect response...i guess you see no problems in one side being portrayed as demonic and the other as persecuted Christians...and no problems with the sacred symbols of Christianity being associated with a riot against the constitution
