Is it true the MAGAverse has become anti-sports?

That's a relief. I stopped paying attention to the NFL years ago for non-political reasons. I'm glad I don't have to go back to watching it.
 
So just to make sure? Baseball is not just for gay people and feminized men? Not that there would be anything wrong with that.

Well, there are many conservatives on here. We wouldn't be coming here if we weren't Braves fans. :)

Well you guys (for the most part) are not really the leading edge of the MAGAverse. I want to know the latest trends. By the time y'all pick up on something the leading edge of the MAGAverse has long moved on.

That's true. Most of us here are more into DeSantis than Trump except for thethe. Thethe loves baseball so I'm not sure that theory holds up.

Thinking of the far right as anti-sports shows an interesting perspective. It's clear to me that the support of BLM and other radical causes by the NFL and NBA makes them anti-anyone who isn't a social leftist. I'm surprised that anyone would show surprise at the people who've been told 'screw you' replying with 'well screw you too then.'

btw I find the conflating of BLM the organization and BLM the slogan for racial justice to be an interesting phenomenon...a very common and persistent one on these boards...to me it is a distinction worth making...but your mileage may vary

I actually find the trend behind the first post much more noteworthy. I had felt like I was seeing a noticeable uptick in outright anti-gay “jokes” and sentiments from some prominent right wingers recently. Attacking gay couples for having surrogates, casual homophobic remarks in addition to the obvious rhetoric of equating the Florida bill with grooming. It’s not that I find any supporter of the FL bill to be anti-gay, but I am very concerned that instead of calling it advancing an agenda or confusing children, many have moved on to calling it grooming, which has a much, much different working definition than something like radicalizing.
