so, they have followers in Libya now it seems obviously

such a waste of life for no real good reason

really curious if ISIS is wanting a new crusades

Yeah, I think that's definitely what they want. But ISIS by itself can't make that happen. They need nation state allies to obtain that goal. I'm just not sure they're going to get that at least in such a way that would make them truly powerful. Clearly there are some states that would be their ally (Iran, China and Russia maybe), but certainly not out in the open.

not sure how or why you think Iran, China or Russia would be an ally with them

Iran, China and Russia won't be an ally to this evil piece of **** organization. They want a crusade, but it'll be the whole world against them.

Of course they want a new crusades. They want the whole world to be at war.

I think you're confusing ISIS with the USA

Sorry shouldn't say Americans want to be in perpetual war, but the Military Industrial Complex wants us to be in perpetual war. Iraq made Haliburton a **** ton of money.

Maybe not so much China as it once was but I still think an argument can be made for them. You don't think that the governments of Russia/Iran hate the US?

Hate is irrelevant for those at the top. They are our competitors. Russia, US, and China all want to dictate what happens in the world. It's a game of power.

Plus the UK, France, etc etc.

Fair enough but in that quest for power Russia/Iran believe that the US/West is dominating them so they might do something drastic to regain some of their old power.

Ally against common enemies.

There is a 100% chance that Iran would fight on our side against ISIL rather than fight with ISIL. Iran may not like us. But they certainly won't empower highly unpredictable and radical sunni Muslims.

Same with Russia and China. ISIL is fighting a Russian ally in Assad. They'd have to totally back out of Syria. That isn't happening. China has no bone in this. China loses massive amounts of money in WW3 because people stop buying iPhone and **** like that. CHina is too much of an industrial nation to risk losing it all on a war.

Your lack of global knowledge is showing. ISIL is a radical sect, they're of no real threat. THey're being propped up as a threat to get the war machine turning and make more money for Lockheed Martin and Boeing's bottom line.

Iran is negotiating with the West. Russia's economy is ****ed up..they are not the Soviet Union.

I don't see how allying with ISIS helps Russia or Iran. They are a threat to Iran.

Russia got ****ed the last chess match they played with the US/NATO. They won't be doing that any time soon I think. Not that they won't try, just think they'll let it sit a bit. Wait for something to happen in the US.

To hurt the US. They would never do anything openly. My point is that even if countries like that want to ally with ISIS it would be extremely difficult and have to be done covertly.

How would it hurt the US? Russia aiding ISIL hurts their boy Assad. Iran is next on ISIL's invasion list. Well after Kuwait, which would really piss off the west and then you'd expect a true full scale war. The idea of a nationstate supporting a terrorist group like ISIL that's so close to them just doens't make sense. That being said, I still contend that ISIL is a creation of the US Military Industrial complex that was mad so we could go to war again in Iraq and destabilize Syria. Perpetual war is good for most who have money.

The nation-state has been unraveling over the past few decades and ISIL is an example of the rise of non-state actors and the on-going damage they can cause. I just think this is an example of "in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king." If ISIL can create enough chaos to make established nation states less secure, they create an opportunity to chip away at the power structures that maintain those nation states. I don't know what the ultimate goal of that would be except to return the Middle East to a world of smaller communities and economies that could resist the West. I believe ISIL (and perhaps some radical Islamists) believe the nation-state is an invention of the West and does not suit the needs of the populations of the Middle East (all conjecture on my part). If push comes to shove, my guess is every established government in the Middle East (and the world) would band together--regardless of religion--to rub groups like ISIL out because of the threat to order.
