It Is The Guns

New ?
This has been the " talking point" (or what others would call the reality )
since the rise of " Christian Academy's"
in response to 1960s era integration
You should have really taken a look at the origins/history and behind the scenes of School Choice Movement
before diving in.

But it is a nice mental diversion for you while people are needlessly -- anonymously-- randomly
gunned down en mass
So again, the title is It Is The Guns

I have been espousing solutions, pretty much the same ones, here (and Scout) since Sandy Hook.
An Gun Control advocate since Lee Harvey Oswald could buy a rifle mail order

Granted a political ad, all the same to the point

Rep. Gloria Johnson
@VoteGloriaJ

Just hours before the tragic mass shooting in Maine, Marsha Blackburn

voted to give "mentally incompetent" veterans easier access to guns.

Marsha talks a big game about mental health,

but her votes don't line up with her sound bites.

It ain't the guns

But here's a fun stat for you.

There are 70% MORE late term abortions per year in the US than victims of mass shootings.

And luckily, the left claims that late term abortions are rare and not something we need to legislate against.

can always count on you for something even more irrelevant to the topic

you could start a thread instead of another on pedophilia, or academics that dont agree with you, or whatever the RW internet outrage of the day is
In which case I might read it and be interested in what you have to say

but first stay focused
discussing guns and the dangerous proliferation of war weapons

Well I'm trying to bring some context.

We have an event that you and your friends.considers rare and so rare there should be no legislation.

I'm merely pointing out that victims of shooting sprees are much rarer than that rare event

And also, it ain't the guns

An audit .

What a series of what aboutist stupid irrelevant questions.
You don't care, just say it.

I think it’s a perfectly reasonable question to ask what’s your plan to confiscate illegal firearms.

The fact you don’t even want to attempt to answer it is what’s really trelling.

(D) broadly opposes school choice because teachers unions don’t want competition and teachers unions are the largest, most reliable (D) constituency. That’s where it starts and ends.

“Mental diversion” — as if there can’t be more than one important issue at the table at one time. OK. Sounds like someone else is doing the diverting here.

And before you say the topic is “it is the guns,” who brought up school choice in this thread?

I did only to point out you conveniently ignore a needless, senseless completely avoidable tragedy.

With an issue born of anti integration bigotry

"Missouri has some of the nation’s loosest gun restrictions and one of the highest gun death rates in the country. Since 2017, it has allowed people to carry concealed, loaded firearms in public ― no background check or permit required."

One Dead and at Least 21 Others Shot at Super Bowl Celebration in Kansas City
The police said three people were in custody and asked for the public’s help in determining what had happened.

The police telling me that they were as well prepared and well

staffed as possible for the Super Bowl parade and people still got

shot is proof that there's no amount of policing that can make us safe.

The problem is too many guns.

Oddly my guns have still not committed any felonies. I fell asleep on the couch last night with one on my hip. I guess I'm lucky it didn't jump out of the holster and go on a crime spree.

that is a cute bumper sticker.

You should probably keep you and your children indoors today . Where you all can feel safe huddled around your little friend.

Did you miss the part of the KC story where the area was populated by armed police in
a state with lax to no gun laws

Good luck

No comments on the trans shooters. Weird.

yeah, that is pertenant.

and extremely warming to the victims families.
" yeah but --- One of the shooters had an operation
on their genitals and hormonal system"

Can always count on the 4 or 5 of you to trivialize

Stay safe, under your bed --- cuz you never know
