It Is The Guns

That is off topic.

If I was interested in voicing an opinion on that subject would go to appropriate place

Well it's not when you're complaining about support for mental health care. What do you define as mental health care?

What gets me about this whole debate is the almost dogmatic belief people have that their solution will significantly improve things in spite of having almost no evidence supporting them.

Step 1 needs to be evidence gathering. We need to fund investigations into gun violence and find out what's going on. What are the warning signs? What things increase the risk? What has been tried that has been effective and what hasn't? Etc.

The worst thing we can do is go off half cocked, pass measures based on ideology (regardless of the ideology), and spend all the political capital for no impact.

The real tragedy here is that no one disputes there's a problem but it has become so politicized that we can't even investigate the issue to try to figure out the best course of action.

you are right .
I don't know what is on the table.
But, for those that politically say (GOP) it is not guns it is mental health
well, the CSPAN graphic speaks politically to their sincerity.

I don't care about nor spend any time forming an opinion on what you brought up, so I have no opinion .
You do. I don't share your interest

The U.S. self-reported rate of mental health distress is similar to Canada’s (27%) and Sweden’s (24%). And yet…

Annual gun homicides:
Canada: 300
Sweden: 60
United States: 15,500

It’s the guns.

Democrats should take an alternate approach and legalize having guns in social clubs in Florida and Trump rallies specifically. Guns don't kill people and make us safer so there is no doubt this will make those places safer.

it's even dumber to think the gun violence in Chicago doesn't bother people lol

cosplaying patriots having fantasy boners of revolution and killing people in the country stops any progression of any real change here to help stop gun violence from happening

and even the bull**** excuses they say are the problems, don't get addressed either

so we just do nothing and hope it isn't our turn to die from gun violence in this country

“Some people say it’s not the gun that shoots the bullet but a man,”

Serbia’s president, Aleksandar Vucic, said. “But if that man doesn’t have a gun,

the evil in his head can’t do any harm.”

BREAKING: There are reports of a mass shooting on Hollywood Beach

in Florida. According to CBS, at least seven people were shot and some

of the victims are young children.

Permitless carry became law in the state in April.

I agree that the second amendment is clear as day. I dont think places like Chicago with strict gun control laws are examples of gun control not working because it cant work so long as theres a flood of guns all around the country. Only a national gun control policy would work. It would take 10-20 years to get rid of enough guns to fully take effect but it would work to cut down on 95%+ of gun violence. That doesnt mean we have to make it illegal for anyone to own anything thats a gun. There just isnt enough support for that to overturn a constitutional amendment. I accept that but what angers me is all this BS some people push as solutions. Like people who say school shootings happen because "god" isnt allowed in schools. Just come out and say what you really mean people. "I dont care how many kids have to die in schools I aint giving up muh guns" is atleast honest. Dont send your thoughts and prayers like it helps any damn person.

BREAKING: A mass shooting has taken place outside of a Richmond, Virginia High School Graduation celebration.

Details:

- 7 shot outside the Altria Theater in Richmond, Virginia

- The shooting took place in Monroe Park after the Huguenot High School graduation

- 2 suspects have been arrested

- 3 suffered life-threatening injuries and 4 non-life-threatening

- 6 others were injured in the aftermath of the shooting, including 2 who fell, 1 who was hit by a car, and 3 who were treated for anxiety.

I think we can all agree, Democrat and Republican, that these shooting must be stopped.

The only disagreement is how we stop them. Please fix this America! Work together on sensible laws.
