There was an extended blurb released withthe same information that showed what systems they used to confirm these figures. They also said that there is a margin of error in the total counts and suggest that a canvassing is required.

This is the whole point of the forensic audit. To determine the legality of each vote. Every single legal vote that is made by a citizen at a registered address in their region should and will be counted.
