But he was also talked about more than any other President when he was in office, so it’s all relative. Still, he’s not constantly having to answer for things that are going wrong or being scrutinized for his every word. He can control his communications with the public to focus it around what the Democrats are doing and the things that positively impacted his popularity during his term. It’s much tougher to control your popularity when you’re also governing.
 
The public doesn’t follow politics. Trump is more popular today than he was 18 months ago because the people are hanging the inflation they’re feeling on the sitting President. I don’t think it’s more complicated than that.

There is no implied threat nor is he telling him to go find votes.

I look at the country right now, and declare myself wise for choosing Trump. Unfortunately, we have to deal with the stupidity of your quad and poor and middle class people are suffering greatly from it
