Were you born yesterday? Even if you think this is a politically motivated witch hunt that is normal. Republicans have already stated they will investigate everything that moves after the mid terms. Absolutely none of their investigations will be because they genuinely care, it will all be an attempt to politically damage Biden and the Democrats. That's okay. It's nothing illegal, unconstitutional or unethical. That you people cry so much about a strategy your own side does is mind blowingly stupid.

If Trump, his team or his congressional supporters were materially involved, it’d be almost impossible to prove unless they can prove both that they helped organize the rally AND that the rally was a specific front to get supporters in the Capitol to disrupt the election process. Anything less than that is a waste of time, and that’s the almost certain conclusion. You’re not going to persuade anybody that doesn’t already dislike Trump that you should, and you don’t need to convince people that already disliked him. It’s somehow equally politically driven and politically ineffective in a way I can hardly comprehend.

It's not a trial. No one has been charged with a crime. There are no jurors. If anyone is charged with a crinevthen an actual trial will happen, unless they plead guilty.

Dog & pony show then. Point is I’m content with the government doing whatever this is. Much cheaper than most of the alternatives.

I'm not saying her testimony being disregarded bails Trump out. You can take it away and he still comes off terribly.

My point is that Hutchinson is getting praise heaped on her in the press because her story is the most inflammatory when it's also the least credible.

And I'd be shocked if they called the Secret Service agents. This isn't an investigation to get to the truth, it's political theater.
