I posted Mayor Bowser's statement that a small number of unarmed National Guard troops would be on hand and that more were not welcome.
I posted it several times.
Now we are at the point where the hysterics on the left tell us to ignore everything that happened before.
Soon it will be don’t worry about the words after. Just believe it was an insurrection and don’t ask questions.
Same story plays out with all the OUTRAGES for the last 5 years.

but given the denialists around these boards it is worth posting
it is also self-evident that very poorly chosen one incited the mob to intimidate Pence and Congress from certifying the electoral college
as Liz Cheney puts it: The President of the United States summoned this mob, assembled the mob, and lit the flame of this attack. Everything that followed was his doing. None of this would have happened without the President. The President could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not. There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution.

“The problem of domestic terrorism has been metastasizing across the country for a long time now, and it’s not going away anytime soon,” Mr. Wray told the Senate Judiciary Committee at a Tuesday hearing, adding that the ideologies motivating a variety of extremists were proving difficult to pinpoint.
“In some cases, it seems like people are coming up with their own sort of customized belief systems—a little bit of this, a little bit of that—and they put it together maybe combined with some personal grievance or something that’s happened in their lives,” he said. “Trying to get your arms around that is a real challenge.”
Around 300 people have been charged with federal crimes in connection with the riot, ranging from trespassing to conspiracy and assault charges, laying bare the bureau’s challenges in stopping politically motivated violence before it occurs. The Capitol attack was “an inspiration” to other extremists, Mr. Wray said, heightening the urgency of countering it.

Move forward and everyone stop bitching about it over and over. Sack up and move on. Arrest the dudes that did it and stop giving it airplay.
