January 6th insurrection thread...

"No reasonable person would conclude that the statements were truly statements of fact," Sidney Powell's attorneys told the federal judge presiding over the case.

in other words its all bull**** your honor

There's never been one piece of evidence to the contrary. Even T's own campaign had Biden winning. They knew it was coming and knew who the real winner was.

But with T's narcissistic psychopathy, throwing a giant hissy fit and demanding to be declared the winner was the only reaction he was capable of.

I think he and most of the kool aid drinkers, including OO himself, only pretend to believe. They just have no integrity and only care about the game of acquiring power. Criminals know where the lines are, they only choose that the rewards are worth the risks.

After the 1986 reorganization of the Armed Forces undertaken by the Goldwater–Nichols Act, the Joint Chiefs of Staff does not possess operational authority over troops or other units. Responsibility for conducting military operations goes from the president to the secretary of defense directly to the commanders of the unified combatant commands and thus bypasses the Joint Chiefs of Staff completely.

Something that a competent president would know. But I have always been grateful for very poorly chosen one's incompetence. His was an administration where venality was usually tempered by incompetence. We should all be grateful for that.

Actually, it would probably be the AZ tax payers. As the Senate said they'd recoup them damages.

Lol the only thing Trump cares about in that story is that it says the General talked back to him. Such the fragile snowflake he is. Tilley probably was a Trump supporter at one time. Those that support him like Sessions and probably Comey who end up on the wrong side of Donald's delusions I have no sympathy for. Would break my heart to see Bill Barr get canceled by the right.

Now we're getting something of Barr's side of the story, given to ABC's Jonathan Karl in a series of interviews this spring.
Karl, in a book excerpt published by the Atlantic, writes about Trump, looking like a madman, banging on a table and referring to himself in the third person, laying into Barr after the attorney general finally said what was clear, on December 1, 2020, that there was no evidence of fraud.

The Barr described to Karl is not afraid to insult Trump to his face.

"You know, you only have five weeks, Mr. President, after an election to make legal challenges," Barr told Trump, according to Karl. "This would have taken a crackerjack team with a really coherent and disciplined strategy. Instead, you have a clown show. No self-respecting lawyer is going anywhere near it. It's just a joke. That's why you are where you are."

coherent and disciplined have to be about the last words anyone would say about any venture in which very poorly chosen one has been involved ...it is always keystone cops with him

I've not looked deeply into the case but as an attorney this kind of stuff wouldn't be surprising. A sentence like "No reasonable person would conclude that the statements were truly statements of fact" is riddled with terms of art. That sentence may not mean the same thing in a courtroom that it does in common vernacular.

Again, I've not looked into this case enough to know exactly what her attorneys are doing but always be cautious when trying to determine what legal arguments actually mean.

The idea the machine are unusable is nonsense and any person with limited IT experience knows that.

It’s a narrative grab technique because they know the report coming is damning. This has been a recurring theme the past few years with timing of certain news.

What an absolute loser
