January 6th insurrection thread...

The leftists lost any semblance of reality when they kept pushing the DNC hack hoax after the President of Crowdstrike said there was no physical evidence.

Actually, having traveled as much as I have in the past 3 years for both work and leisure, 48 states, 11 countries, 50k miles driven, my reality has actually been more refined.

Most of that time I'm on the ground meeting people, talking to locals. It was actually quite refreshing to road trip everywhere by myself. As I had zero time to pull out the phone and get into keyboard wars over stupid things here, or anywhere else online. In some ways I was insulated from seeing news everyone was fighting over.

Cities, rural areas, urban, mountainous, industrial, secluded, you name it. Reaffirmed my belief that most MAGA people are truly out-of touch with the rest of the country. Many have their heart in the right place, but truly have zero clue on what goes on outside of Fox News or the Trump echo chamber.

Everyone's just out here trying to make a living and survive.
 
Out of anyone here, 50PoundHead is the only that's actually had experience working with government bureaucracy. So he would probably have a better take but he's too smart to come here and debate with us juveniles

And yet we keep allowing an invasion on our border to drive down wages and continually outsource our manufacturing. Meanwhile, non supervisory real wages jumped the most under trump than at any time in over 40 years.

ahh sav went on a roadtrip to meet with everyday Americans... and he found out exactly that his priors correct... that those darn mega people are out of touch with reality? and the chop zone was just a nice peaceful lovefest... some may even call it a summer of love? besides the rape and murder, what was the issue???

just remember... over taking public property for weeks with armed guards is NOT an insurrection. no no no... you have to walk around the capitol with pepper spray cans and punch a cop here and there to get that distinction... the worst attack on democracy since the civil war!!!!
 
These unequal treatments of people and the law is the problem.

Jan 6 rioters got to see first hand that violent protests were seen as OK. The summer of 2020 showed them that you can break the law, become violent, even kill people! And the media would lovingly classify as "mostly peaceful"

Unfortunately, they learned the hard way that they were protesting the wrong causes... So they are terrorists now, rotting in prison, for walking around the Capitol with a "US Citizen" flag

The justice system as made clear what is acceptable and what is not. Jan 6 protesters should have been smart enough to carry a bunch of black lives matter signs in their riots
 
yeah...i thought we would just move on to the next whataboutism once it was established people who committed violent crimes in CHOP COUNTRY have been arrested, charged and prosecuted

Well there is nothing to what about there. None of the Jan 6 people murdered anybody

I responded I want to treat all criminals the same.

You came back with a crime from Seattle that didn't happen in DC.

I said I want the criminals in Seattle to face the same punishment as the insurrectionists in DC.
