Jecki Lon Memorial Star Wars Thread

I only care about the overall lore. So with this show I wonder how much of a sith the guy at the end is really supposed to be. In canon Darth Plageuis is around 15 or so. In legends he was given over as a child to his master Darth Tenebaus. Clearly Disney isn't required to keep that going. But I do wonder if Plageius or his master play any kind of role in the show. At this point the Jedi think they have been extinct for about 100 years according to Windu.

I mean I would assume who they encounter isn't a sith, but will claim to be something else. Or will kill all Jedi who encounter them. I assume there is some other exception.

Mind you we know from the High Republic Novels the Nihil existed and wielded light sabers. Someone with a red lightsaber would raise quesitons but not assume sith. Especially in a world where clearly former Jedi can leave the order.

Not really?

You think the majority doesn't like Andor? The Mandalorian? The Bad Batch? Rebels? Ahsoka?

Even if you have the wrong opinion and don't like Last Jedi there's countless examples of star wars content liked by fans and critics.

RotS was the highest rated IMDB prequel film at 7.6. Disney star wars content that beats that include

The Bad Batch (7.8)
Rebels (8.1)
Force Awakens (7.8)
Rogue One (7.8)
Tales of the Jedi (8.2)
Andor (8.4)
Mandalorian (forgot in original post, 8.6)

Even using your standards a lot of Star Wars content that's come out in the last decade is better than any other official Star Wars content that's come out in decades. That's ignoring things people are wrong about like hating on Star Wars VIsions (and obviously Last Jedi)

So obviously the majority doesn't disagree. Just the vocal minority who for some reason are really popular grifting off right wing anger against "wokeness"

I forget you liked TLJ. Hell I forget anyone liked that movie

That was the worst SW movie of all time.

Where would I read about this grifter culture on Star Wars ?

And further more how can I make money off posting online negatively about Star Wars

Yeah good thing there weren't explosions in space in any of George Lucas's films.......

If you watch star wars expecting Science Fact or Science fiction, not a space opera, you're a retard.

I mostly just thought the tweet was funny.

But in reference to comparing Lucas's films..... explosions are one thing. They are done for dramatic affect.

But an open, crackling fire in space is just.... well lazy writing/directing.

It was a funny post. That's it. Calm down.

But since you asked, a quick blast of fire, purely for dramatic affect to make the space battles look cooler, could easily be written off as liquid oxygen being blown from the ship. Sure, that is lazy as well, and doesn't fit physics either. But it's far more believable and contextually fits way better, than an open crackling fire in space.

I won't say it was the worst, but episodes 7-9 were all very mid.

8 and 9 are hard to watch. 7 is very mid.

The thing that bothers me the most is they never have Luke, Han, and Leia all meet up.

The overally story just didn't mesh well togethor imo. It seemed very disjointed. With all the money in the world and with one of the biggest IPs ever. You would think they could have nailed down the writing to cover 3 movies before hand.

I mean the cinematography, world design, and costume design were all fantastic. But the writing was just so bad. So many plot holes that you could literally hyperdrive them all through a Star Destroyer
