Carp: Shares Ragebait Grifter
Me: Points out
Carp: I'm just doing it for the lulz

Grifters are there to induce rage bait. You posted something outright racist from a grifter and you hoped for a positive? Come on.

I don't know if the show will wind up being good or not. We're 3 episodes in. We still have 5 episodes left. Where will it end up? I don't know. But unlike you I won't let my prejudices inform my opinion. For example, prejudiced Zito would have thought Fallout and Arcane would have sucked. He would have looked ofr any flaw. Instead I went into it open minded and really enjoyed both shows.

Also I have no clue what you're talking about with sets are you a ****ing moron? We've had a dope shot outside a trade federation ship. We've had an awesome city and the insides of a jedi temple, we've had the dope witches coven set. Come on. What are you talking about? I think you can fault anything if you dig hard enough into star wars under disney but one thing it hasn't been lacking is visuals. THat's why all the shows are so expensive is because they're paying for the latest and greatest ILM tech.

WHy the **** do people care about chanting? Are people stupid? They're a religious cult. They're all about chanting.

Hey you know what I like Temple of Doom, but the Chanting. You know I like The Dark Knight Rises, except the Chanting. Come the **** on.

How does it **** on the entire skywalker saga? We haven't confirmed virgin birth. Even with that why would it matter? People claim virgin birth all the time when it's not real. I assume it was a ritual that could have been cloning but they also could have forced a jedi to have sex with them? I mean there's countless things that could be explanations. But you're basing all your ragebecause you read some live tweet/watched a youtube video from a grifter.

Also what you're talking about the myth of the chosen one was already invalidated by Rise of SKywalker where Palpatine returned and could only be beaten by the child of a clone of himself.

1. I don't have any rage whatsoever. I don't let TV shows or movies affect my life. If I did, I would have had an aneurysm when I watched how Miller completely effed up the DCEU with BVS and Justice League. But I can still be a critic of content that enjoy.

2 . How do you know the person posting the original post wasn't black? People make fun of their own race all the time. I literally just saw a black creator on TikTok make this exact same joke.

3. I said the world building and set designs aren't what people expect out of Star Wars show with $180 million budget. I didn't say they were bad. And this isn't an opinion unique to me. I certainly wouldn't call any of it "dope."

4. I know it's a cult. The chant is still dumb and off-putting and distracts from the story. And it's getting widely chastised online. They would have sounded better talking gibberish.

5. I already mentioned I am giving them the benefit of the doubt in that maybe they will explain away the virgin birth later in the season. But as of now they have sure implied it is a virgin birth.

6. Wrong. The prophecy as written in canon: "A Chosen One shall come, born of no father, and through him will ultimate balance in the Force be restored." Lucas himself says that Anakin is the Chosen One, though the prophecy was misinterpreted.

1. I don't think I said you were mad. CLassifying that grifter as one who goes off rage bait. "WORST X EVER" "STAR WARS RUINED FOR EVER" etc. whether it makes you mad or not is not really relevant to that person. Though I suspect it does and you enjoy hating.

2. So you're saying black people can't say racist things? Interesting. I know the guy posting a youtube comment is white though. His intention is clearly to spread racist memes.

3. How? We've seen thriving cities, beautiful landscapes, awesome structures. What more do you want? You want more inside of ships? Want more shots in space? No one complained about the sets in ANdor except for known grifter Star Wars THeory who infamously was trolled for his bricks and screws commentary.

4. How does the chant distract? You've done nothing to prove it other than say "it's getting widely chastised online" great the grifters hate it who the **** cares. What religious cult ceremony wouldn't have chanting? **** what religious ceremony doesn't have chanting or some form of ritualistic verbage. YOu're being pedantic over something stupid that no one should care about. Is it stupid in Rogue One whenever Chirrut says "i'm one with the force the force is one with me" I don't recall anyone giving a **** about that.

5. Implied or not who cares? Even if it was virgin birth who cares?

6. I know what the chosen one prophacy. How does anything you said here negate what I said where Anakin's sacrifice didn't bring balance to the force because "sOmEhOw pAlPaTiNe rEtUrNeD"

Zito, I'm mostly just posting funny **** I'm reading on line regarding the show.

But there is no way you can watch this travesty and actually think it's good. Even disregarding the "woke" elements that so many to have a problem with, the story is just bad. Predictable plot tropes (evil twin? Is the Young and the Restless?). Mediocre dialogue. Bad plot holes. Even the world building and sets haven't been what you expect out of a Star Wars show with $180 million budget.

And episode 3 was just brutal. The acting, the chanting, all of it. And most importantly, it completely ****s on the entire Skywalker saga, basically rendering what made Anakin special to be irrelevant. I guess future episodes could offer a better explanation (clones), but what is currently being implied 100% diminishes the the Skywalker saga, and real Star Wars fans absolutely are justified to be livid about that.

It's getting a lot of backlash, and rightfully so.

The Anakin parallels aren't that troubling. There are two ideas of Anakin's origins. Either he was created by the Force as a chosen one or else he was created by Palatine's manipulation of the Force.

If it's the former then the girls aren't problematic as their mother says she created them. So at best they're clones, at worse they're created by her use of the Force and not by the Force itself.

If it's the latter then Anakin's birth doesn't have to be unique. Others could figure out the same technique.

So I'm not worried about it.

I don't think Palpatine's manipulation is canon.

I don't think Palpatine's manipulation is canon.

Nothing is properly canon because of the Tragedy of Darth Plageuis the Wise. Are we to assume that story is false entirely but the prophecy is true entirely. Could both of them be true? Etc.

Reminder that the Plagueis book (boy it's been a long time) that wasn't canon then and isn't canon now was that Palp and Plagueis were tinkering with creating force and became more powerful and Anakin was created as an counterbalance.

I don't think Palpatine's manipulation is canon.

It's not but it is a popular theory. It's even played up in one of the canon comics. But it doesn't matter if Palpatine created Anakin or not. Anakin is only unique if created by the Force itself which we know isn't what happened with the girls since their mom said she made them.

So the girls take nothing away from Anakin.

Eh, potato/potäto. The implication (at least as of now) is that the girls were made by the force. Whether you want to argue the difference between being created by the Force itself or by manipulation the Force, it would still be immaculate birth. Considering that Anakin basically amounts to the Star Wars version of Jesus, if the twins were created by/through the force then it absolutely dilutes the story of Anakin.

Hopefully they expand on this as the season goes on. Hopefully, they don't leave ambiguity over this pretty major detail (or even worse, outright confirm this is what happened). But considering the overt feminism already displayed both on screen and the throughout the production process, I am not hopeful they will. It certainly seems they want to make this story far more important to the Star Wars universe than it actually is.

I mean you have to take everything with a grain of salt. But I would say the response is mostly negative regarding this show.

Most likely in your negative sphere of the internet. Lots of people I know who like Star Wars are giving the show a chance. They aren't like head over heels, but they're enjoying it. Kind of the same as Ahsoka.

And lots of people hate it and that’s okay too.
