That's not surprising. Since it looks like a fun film with a fantastic cast. Heck it could have semi-complex plots and nuanced writing that will really confuse you.

Didn't really line up and make sense for me, as the Shadow Collective was defeated at the finale of the Clone Wars. But I'm guessing this was maybe an attempt of his to reclaim it? I dunno.

That would make the most sense. I mean what else is the dude going to do.

Well, as of about 5 BBY he was on Malachor trying to get a Sith Holocron. So there's a tight window. You'd think Sidious would shut him down again, but maybe he just didn't care at that point, he saw him as no threat so just let him be.

I assume comics/books will shore things up.

They're kind of moving in that direction. IIRC they went all the way up to the end of the Clone Wars? I could be wrong on that. I know it went past the TV show's events and went into more past that.

I love the casting in the Solo movie. It should be a fun popcorn movie, but probably not a good movie.

Both Ms. 50# and I enjoyed it (and we are way old). I'm not heavily into the lore and canon, but it tosses some obvious links to the chronological unfolding of the saga that were fun. Reminded me of Episode 4 (the first movie) in that at its core, it's a Western. Take it for what it is and you will likely enjoy it. Alden Ehrenreich does a good job and Paul Bettany makes an awesome villain.

yeah it was fine. Decent movie to go see in the theater. I don't think any of these "star wars stories" series are gonna be anything to go nuts about honestly. Just SW filler until another episode comes out.

The films are mostly there as filler fluff. They're there to canonize less important details in big ways. Like Chewbacca's age, the Maw, and many more.

So, on a scale of The Last Jedi to Empire Strikes Back, how would you rate it?

This video is entirely too great to share anywhere else. Just reminds me of the moronic discussions with the fools on here.
