Joe Simpson to Radio. Frenchy Replaces Him

Joe has had a few grumpy moments, but overall I’ve never understood the strong dislike towards him. But to each their own.

It’s not fair to have to follow in the steps of Skip, Pete, Ernie. I still miss them like crazy.

He doesn't understand the modern game thus he thinks it's wrong/bad.

He was foisted upon everyone when TBS kicked Skip and Pete to radio only sometime in the 90s (assuming everyone remembers that TBS used to show Braves games swap announcers halfway through the game). I don't know who was the primary driver for that, and it didn't last, but that's always been a mark in my book.

Actually that was 2003, I was way off.
