John Kelly’s Press briefing

Watched it. Didn't affect me much. Our troops shouldn't be in harm's way to begin with. Their sacrifice is only making us less safe. I don't know that ant US service member has died for my freedoms since ww2. If they want to fight for my freedom they need to come home and fight for it like Micah Johnson. ISIS isn't roaming our streets incarcerating innocent people.

I res0wct any military member who refused to be a part of our war of terror than I do any service member who died. Those who refuse are the real heroes.one day the rest of you will know this to be true.

With due respect, on what basis do Gens Kelly & Mattis criticize the media for asking how & why 4 US soldiers were killed in action?

ah, don't ever change

a) Gen Kelly is White house Press Secretary.
It doesn't get more political

b) noted above, he never denied what Trump said
which is the issue at hand --- right ?

c) not surprised you (royal) actually buy his/Trump's BS

d) All of The Above

I think there are a lot of people who are thrilled at the job Trump is doing.

Name one.

You think what he is doing even qualifies as doing the job of President? Without Kelly and his various handlers he hasn't shown any aptitude at all for the job. What he is showing is either the early signs of dementia or Alzheimer's. But many say he's always been this way.

I'd like to take back what I said about ex-General John Kelly. Not a very smart play on his part.

Kelly is the chief of staff and a political operative. He held a press conference and told a lie that smeared one of Trump’s political opponents. No government official’s military background, no matter how honorable, makes him immune to criticism, especially given the subject at hand. Sanders’s response was unnerving. But the bigger lesson of the episode is that no matter how good one’s intentions are, when you go to work for Trump, you will end up paying for it with your reputation. For Kelly, not even his four stars prevented that.

I still say Kelly is 21st century Alexander Haig. Guessing somewhere's Shakespeare has written the model. Perhaps one of the Henry's or Richard's
Hope I live long enough to see if this is the history..
But it is very --- highly likely there was a silent - behind the scenes - military coup of sorts due to the military industrial complex mistrust of what this President could-will do given the opportunity.

Which was the case with Haig
