Jeff Samardzija was selected to the NL All-Star team but is ineligible since he was traded to the AL (A's) Teheran replaced Samardzija #ASG

He wont be able to pitch though since he's scheduled to start next Sunday. Kimbrel and maybe Freeman are all who may make it. Gattis might have if he didnt get hurt.

It's absurd to think that Samardjiza was going to make it over Julio. Both were good, but Julio has been better. Either way, he made it! I'm hoping we can get a couple more in there. Freeman SHOULD make it. Maybe Justin will as well.

Freeman may make it but he has tough competition.

JUp will be on the outside looking in, i think as well.
 
Congrats to Julio, Kimbrel and Freddie. All very deserving. I think a case could have been made for Gattis as well had he not gotten hurt. I think Justin has an argument in that final five.

Overall, good job by fans, players and managers on the teams.
 
Absolutely ridiculous Teheran wasn't originally on the roster. Also Gattis was deserving but since he's hurt it can slide I suppose. Hopefully JUp can pull a Freddie and win the final vote.

Based on the fact that Devon Mesaraco made the squad over Buster Posey, I would have to think that had Gattis not gotten hurt, he would have made the team.
 
I'm not an espn insider so I couldn't read the whole article, but Keith law named Posey as a snub and not Gattis to my knowledge. I couldn't dislike that guy anymore. Such a bias against the Braves it seems. If you think Posey is having a better year than Gattis your an idiot, high, or just plain bias imo.

How did Blackmon and Harrison get in over Jason? he's about as good offensively as Blackmon this year and far superior offensively

How is Jason "about as good offensively? Even when you account for park factors, Blackmon is clearly superior to Jason offensively. And don't even start with the defensive WAR nonsense. Anyone that believes Heyward has been more valuable to this team than Freddie, Justin, or Gattis because of defense is smoking crack.

The real snub is Justin Upton.
 
I feel like we as a Braves board need to do our part to get Upton in. I think we need to come up with something.

We should spam the Scout board with requests to vote for Justin. Combine each of Patio's alter egos, and you're looking at at least 3000 votes.
