June Hitting

I think it’s a pretty big assumption though that Ender will be back fully healthy. Back issues are no joke. We have 20 days though. It will be interesting to see exactly how this situation plays out. The only real choices to go down though are Riley Camargo or a pitcher.

Interested to see how the braves evaluate Riley. They may feel the only way for him to get better is to keep seeing mlb pitching and work with seitzer.

My answer is call up ender and send down a pitcher. We need ender to give acuna a rest and to rebuild some trade value.

Most of our own has used an option this year. Just option guys up and down to make sure you have fresh arms and carry one less reliever.

I'm interested in seeing the data you're looking at that suggests his K/BB ratios have shown a lot of growth.

https://www.fangraphs.com/graphs.as...tatArray=&start=2019&end=2019&rtype=mult>1=15

That chart shows K/BB rates that have pretty much held steady the whole time. I guess the BB rate is ticking up a bit.

Literally the only differences between Riley's May and June are the luck baked into his BABIP and HR/FB numbers. The moment those rates regressed, his production plummeted.

What data points to him being due to bounce back?

I was referring to his AAA numbers. Riley has adjusted at every level. To what degree at the major league level we don't know. But it's pretty safe to assume the K/BB will improve somewhat. And we need him to continue to grow at this level, because he will be counted on to start from day 1 next seaaon.

When he struggles just drop him further in the order.

As long as Riley keeps hitting for power I want to keep him on the MLB roster. I would like to see him get about half the at bats in LF and occasional time at 3B to rest Donaldson. Let him be the power bat PH off the bench other games. AAA serves no purpose right now other than to suppress his service time.

Bowman tweeted hardest hit balls for the month. Top 10 littered with braves. Acuna number 1.

Swanson was on there. I swear dansby looks like a much better hitter than the results this year. And the results are solid.

Then Bowman is wrong...

Acuna had the 11th hardest hit ball in June, and no Braves are in the Top 10 at all.

EDIT: Bowman listed the "most hard hit" balls, not the "hardest hit balls" haha.

The June stat that matters: 187

That's the number of runs the raves scored in June...#1 in all MLB.

And they didn't even get to play 2 games in a London Little League field to reach that total.

How predictive are June statistics relative to other months?
