Crazy.

Kasich will campaign in states Cruz might have a hard time with, and vice versa.

All this to deny Trump the delegates.

OK you're gonna have to be more specific at this point. Just calling someone who's still in the race for president a stupid **** really doesn't narrow it down all that much.

Blatantly trying to subvert the will of the people seems to have worked out well for these 2 ***gots

It looks like Kasich and Cruz both flunked the "plays well with others" part of the report card. Cruz' behavior is totally expected here, but Kasich couldn't even stick with the plan.

Hey Fitty, maybe you can explain something to me. I can see how Donald Trump appeals to a certain group, he's loud, he's "in your face" he's the polar opposite of the "politically correct, touchy feely crowd" so I get why they like him, and I can see why Hilldog's supporters like her, the Dem thing, the first woman thing, the Hilldog is the friend of black people everywhere thing, and of course Bernie has a LOT of supporters for being what I still consider a "niche candidate", someone who goes against what a lot of people hate about the corporate welfare crowd. My mystery is in Rafael Cruz. I know he's a conservative, who says he represents traditional values, he's VERY pro-Israel which I normally like and agree with, though to be honest Netanyahu is about to get on my last freakin' nerve, but maybe it's the religion thing, I don't get why his schtick (in my opinion anyway) about being THE candidate of faith in this election works so well for so many. He just seems SOOOOOO fake to me in the faith department. Is it just me?

I heard a radio interview with Cruz this morning. He was still talking about how meaningful his win in Wisconsin was. Dude. Hang it up.

Cruz has some folk hero cred with the religious right with his work as Solicitor General in Texas and his antics on the floor of the U.S. Senate, so I get that part of it. As far as the religious angle, I am loathe to question anyone's beliefs or the sincerity of those beliefs, but Cruz really makes me want to do that. I see him as Bachmann (or Santorum) with a much bigger brain (and I don't think there's any question that Cruz has a pretty big and powerful brain and I am not saying that in a sarcastic sense). But like Bachmann and Santorum (and Huckabee before that), Cruz has faded. People can point to his string of wins, but most of those wins came after he was anointed as the anti-Trump candidate. I think his success this year is largely a function of how the race unfolded. If Trump doesn't drive Bush and Rubio out early, Trump and Cruz would be splitting the outsider vote.

But back to your original question. Cruz is sharp and he has a bunch of very sharp caucus vets working for him. You can see that in the way he has pilfered delegates. There are two sets of insiders. One set has thick wallets, the other knows retail politics. Cruz definitely has the latter and they are good. Part of Cruz' appeal comes from his stances on social issues and part comes from his interpretation of the US Constitution. Where he has fallen short this year is that I think he overestimated the size of the "value voter" segment of the Republican base or underestimated the number of these voters who somehow voted for the Donald.
