The Republican party seems to have decided to self-destruct. Every corner of the party, from top to bottom, is involved in an act of political suicide. They jump on one unpopular, untenable position after another. Appealing to the short bus people may seem like the short term solution, but it won't win at the polls.

I've never been a fan of the GOP, especially since Reagan and Rove turned the party to its dark aims, no pun intended, but this is very troubling for the country.
