I don't have a pigeonholed political affiliation here. Typically R's consider me a lib and libs consider me an R. Both are right to a certain extent and both are wrong to a larger extent. This is why I don't take part in many political threads.
This is just such an important topic that I'm going to break my own rule. I am perfectly fine with young people getting hormone therapy, getting the surgeries, etc., AFTER they turn 18. I know there are some young people who really were just "born into the wrong body" but to me many 18 year olds don't know what they want to have for lunch on any given day, let alone something this serious. No matter which decision anyone makes some people are going to get screwed around (metaphorically speaking of course) but this is one that has to wait till they're of age. Then they can do whatever they choose.
Also, I am against transgender people competing in competitions except in the gender they were born with. Again, it's not a perfect rule but this is just my 2 cents worth.
