How is stating facts, attacking victims? Why can't you all engage in a debate without all of this emotionally charged language?

Nitpicking their stories is a devious way to try and discredit them. It is an attack and it completely misses the basic common sense that the stories sound pretty normal and these women are NOT enjoying putting themselves in the kleig lights like this.

Everything I've read about the drinking is that the purported incidents took place at parties that featured a lot of underage drinking. I don't think anyone--or any story--has directly equated underage drinking with sexual aggression.

Although in the case of Kavanaugh his Yale roommate, who presumably would be in a position to know, said that he tended to become belligerent and aggressive after getting drunk.

And Mark Judge characterized the drinking as so heavy that he and Kavanaugh (or O'Kavanaugh) would black out and not remember what happened.

Combine "belligerent and aggressive" with blacking out and not remembering and draw your own conclusions.

I'm not nitpicking her story. The polygraph literally didn't ask her about the event. And, we all know that polygraph have been determined as unusable in court of law based on how unreliable they are.

She gave 3 different accounts of what happened over the course of 3 weeks.

And then, when she named people, they all said no such thing happened.

That leads to some skepticism of if she is remembering things correctly, does it not?

The only people taking it out of hand are the folks who can't have a debate of ideas of anything that disagrees with their emotion.

The folks who are not ready to put BK behind bars have remained rational the entire discussion.

Your hyperbole and misrepresentations of people who disagree with you show that you know you are losing this debate. Several people are willing to discuss "ideas" with you.

No one wants to put BK behind bars....yet...though it seems quite possible that something really criminal from his past could come out. If he and Mark Judge did put drugs into punch and then have their way with girls, that would bring jail into the conversation. Is this why Mark Judge is hiding at a beach house in Deleware?

I'm with ya, if there is evidence BK was running a rape ring, put him in prison for life.

But each accusation is flimsier than the one before it. And now it's starting to get hard to believe the FBI missed all of this in background checks

The Kavanaugh thing went completely nuts today. I'm going to say that the most credible allegation by far right now is the Ford one. The ones today are all a bit kooky and I don't believe them at all now that we've gotten more info. The one when he was at Yale is very questionable considering she was quite drunk and probably still isn't sure it was Kavanaugh.

I think it all comes down to the Ford thing. If she's convincing then Kavanaugh probably won't get the votes. If she doesn't testify or comes across as a bit of a loon or lacks realistic details then Kavanaugh will be confirmed, imo.

Agreed... the fact that reputable people are aggressively pushing these other allegations shows what our journalistic standards have come to.

As I've said over and over, the Ford allegations are extremely serious and if true, are disqualifying. So far, the evidence she has provided has done nothing but hurt her claims, but that doesn't mean she is lying... I look forward to her testimony tomorrow.

You are forgetting that the three different allegations all contribute to a general feeling of distrust against Kav. You might want to address them separately, but it's too late for that in the court of public opinion.

I hope McConnell tries to force Kav into the court against growing opposition and he is defeated in a vote.
