The more revelations regarding the honesty and character of Kavanaugh the lonelier this place gets
Anyone else notice that ?

I'm old enough to remember people defending him (with a straight face) for referring to birth control as abortion inducing.

Which again goes to show, if you can't beat them at policy you fight the politics and if you cant win the politics you go personal.

Now, can we go about getting those children re united with their families ?

We will see.

Now text messages suggesting BK knew about the Ramirez piece in the New Yorker before it came out, contradicting his under oath testimony.

Looks like this nomination was a huge gift to the Dems from Trump.

UPDATE: Christine Blasey Ford still has not been contacted by the FBI, a member of Ford's legal team tells me.

That would be SITTING FEDERAL JUDGE BRETT KAVANAUGH,

texting with friends and trying to pressure potential witnesses to disparage

a story he claimed to have no knowledge of prior to publication.

SNEAKY, SNEAKY:While the U.S. watches Brett Kavanaugh, the House passes a bill with $3.8 trillion more in tax cuts.

Ben Wittes comes out against Kavanaugh.

"His opening statement was an unprecedentedly partisan outburst of emotion from a would-be justice. I do not begrudge him the emotion, even the anger. He has been through a kind of hell that would leave any person gasping for air. But I cannot condone the partisanship—which was raw, undisguised, naked, and conspiratorial—from someone who asks for public faith as a dispassionate and impartial judicial actor. His performance was wholly inconsistent with the conduct we should expect from a member of the judiciary."

I bolded the word conspiratorial because I found that aspect of his statement particularly shocking. That someone as intelligent and well-informed as he presumably is would stoop to making those kinds of appeals. Some lines you shouldn't cross if you aspire to sit on the Supreme Court.

When the kindly judge mask was removed we saw a vicious and revengeful partisan. It's easy to imagine him as a belligerent drunk who bullies women and gets into bar fights. That performance seemed more like he was auditioning for a job at Fox News than the Supreme Court.

I did notice that. With so much going on right now in this story you'd think there'd be more discussion on it. It's everywhere in the media.

As the majority of us are male hopefully in the back of each our minds.

I know some here have daughters.
Any with young sons ?

What I saw was an extremely aggressive guy with a pretty hefty intellect that could possibly attempt to bully other justices on big cases. One doesn't get to this level of jurisprudence without having a healthy reservoir of confidence--which is usually good thing--but Kavanaugh doesn't strike me as someone who plays well with others. I could be wrong.

All you need to do is flip back a few pages and witness the behavior to anyone expressing a different opinion. It got fairly disgusting. I choose not to dive in much as a result.
