Legal/scotus thread

"prodded"

took y'all a month and this is the what-aboutism you got ?
An author goes to a library , talks about the book and her staff encourages
the library and it's attendees to buy the book?
No houses or fishing vacations ?

No where do we learn how or why the word "prodded" was used or defined
and please, tell me, how is one prodded into buying a book

Perhaps at some point we can attach a $$ to the amount that was "prodded"
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Code of ethics with teeth for SCOTUS ?
SCOTUS reform ?
As being discussed by many many members of Congress
Would Senators Grassley, Cotton or Graham be interested ?
What about McConnell he of the Elaine Chou Chinese shipping empire

I'm in, you ?

You didn’t have to type all of that.

You could have just said “I turn a blind eye when it’s my own party” and we all would have nodded understanding it and moved on

Clarence Thomas Hikes Price of Supreme Court Decisions to Keep Pace with Inflation

By Andy Borowitz

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Citing “unfortunate economic realities,” Clarence Thomas is hiking the price of Supreme Court decisions to keep up with inflation.

The jurist disclosed his new rate card in a mass e-mail sent to more than a hundred super-donors.

“I have tried to keep my prices reasonable, but, as inflation proves more stubborn than predicted, I have no choice but to adjust my rates accordingly,” he wrote.

“Sadly, the days of shredding civil rights in exchange for ten private-jet flights are over,” he added.

It remains to be seen whether the billionaires who received Thomas’s e-mail will tolerate his steeper prices or whether they will explore a budget option such as Neil Gorsuch.

He might try, but Joes got him whipped in that regard

Alabama AG declares he has the right to prosecute people who help pregnant women go to a free state for abortion. By his legal theory he would prosecute it as a criminal conspiracy. I expect it to be laughed out of court. Alabama can only criminalize conduct within their jurisdiction. So I believe a court would rule that there is no underlying crime to the conspiracy. The only question is how far up the ladder it has to go to get the correct ruling.
