Let's assume there will be < 60 game regular season

Has anyone seen the payscale for the guys on the 60-man who are on minor league contracts? Is there a salary bump for them because they are somewhat active or are they pro-rated on their minor league salary amounts?

Another question that should probably go in a separate thread, but is the international signing date the same as usual?
10/15 is when this years period has been extended until, so new period will most likely start 11/2 if they follow the same schedule they do with the 6/15 end and 7/2 start.

It was announced that the 2020-2021 IFA period will now begin 15 January 2021.

I’m hoping Bryce Ball makes his way onto the sixty-man eventually.

He was the one "shocker" for me. With A-Jax, Contreras, Langeliers AND Brown available in Gwinnett, adding Morales rather than using the time to get reps for Ball (or even Michael Harris) struck me as a little strange.

Pretty big bump for a couple of the kids according to this...

love those paywalls

Didn't realize it was a subscriber article.

Players not on the 40 Man Roster that have been added to the pool will be paid as if they're at the AAA level - $500/week. Players with previous AAA experience will get more.

Doesn't seem like that much since most teams have been paying their minor leaguers $400/week, but it's a pretty significant bump under normal circumstances - that would be a $310/week raise for guys at the A+ level.

Won't affect many of our guys, but several teams added kids that were further away.

This years All Star game has officially been cancelled...The Dodgers will now get the 2022 All Star game and the Braves will keep the 2021 All Star game.

Mike Trout is apparently still deciding whether to play this season or not. He’s shown up for camp, but still not 100% sure he will stay. That would be a major blow to the season and I could see the floodgates open should he choose to sit out.

Interesting article by Stark on Athletic today about what happens when the first team has an outbreak (and what even constitutes an outbreak). Seems that team will miss games and games will be counted as rain outs, but with only 66 days to fit in 60 games, if the outbreak lasts longer than say a week and a half, the season could wind up ending with teams having played different numbers of games. Can’t see this ending (or even starting) well.

Law mentioned Ball in his list article pointing out the various prospects included (or not included) on the 60-man squad. Mentioned him as someone who could likely benefit from the work.

Should probably take them now to have a sleepover at Freemans house. Get that immunity up ASAP.
