The fall of Drudge has been interesting to watch. I read an article recently that went deep into trying to figure out what is going on. The consensus from people who have worked closely with Drudge seems to be that he's either sold out or left it up to other people to run. The tone of the site seemed to change at the same time updates became far less frequent, and it began partnering with very shady ad companies shortly after that.

Conspiracy theories about a conspiracy theorist who made it big. Who doesn't love that?

I’m not going to hold water for the media here, but there is a lot of conflation here between Hunter Biden being investigated for illegal dealings and Hunter Biden doing the things alleged in the NY Post that is thus far unwarranted. It’s entirely possible that Hunter Biden was up to something illegal but that the story before the election was still completely inaccurate, particularly with respect to the claims of providing access to then Vice President Biden.

My biggest complaint with it comes from a comparison to Ford's rape accusations against Kavanaugh. The excuse for running with that story despite never (to this day) finding anything to corroborate it, was the time crunch before his confirmation.

The Biden stuff had almost immediate corroboration on the record from a known business partner, with a similar time crunch. We didn't even just get crickets, we got adamant assurances that it was all a Russian hoax. Heck the Tara Reade accusations against Biden were more recent and had some support. Laughed at and dismissed.

The media isn't even trying to disguise themselves anymore.
 
The problem with the Biden story was who was pushing it and their lack of credibility. They are the boy who cried wolf. I am 100% certain the buisness partner was offered a "reward" for saying what he did.



The Biden stuff was out there for anyone that wanted it. Newsmax, OANN, and even librul Fox News covered it.
