Let's Talk About Media

Should we make a Talley?

sure

I mean it doesn't get any worse than the BIG LIE and how it has been covered by certain "news organizations"

Dominion, ghost of Hugo Chavez, Algorithms, burst pipes...we must not forget the burst pipes

Folks like Lin Wood, Pillow Guy, Goya Guy, Sidney Powell, Giuliani being given all that air time

It was something to behold

never in the annals...

But I do hold 60 Minutes to higher standards than your favorite sources of "information"

Was the big lie investigated to confirm it was a lie?

The reason the lecturer gets literally everything wrong is because he trusts the media implicitly

Kavanaugh
Covington
1932
Smaller
Bubba Wallace
Voter suppression
Cuomo and Whitmer
Masks!
Russia!!
Hunter Biden laptop
(I could truly go on for a good long while)

These were all lies pushed by the enemy of the people that the lecturer blindly believed

I'd challenge you to take a moment to self reflect and ask yourself how you got so much wrong.

It might have something to do with your sources.

i dunno...what does the thethe info bubble say

I think it’s a straightforward question.

Your diversion tells me what you know as the answer. I would have been thrilled to be humiliated if audits were performed to find it was a lie. But, one thing ive learned from audited some of the largest companies in the world is that refusal to allow an audit is a pretty clear tell.

Seriously, has any story been covered by any news organizations as badly as the BIG LIE has by some of your favorite sources of "information."

You yourself have been wondrously industrious in bringing all of this to our attention. I know personally I would not have been as well-informed regarding the BIG LIE if not for your "work."

What work can be done other than analytics? Nobody is allowing inspection and those regions where an audit has been ruled we have local bodies blocking it.

When did you stop believing in statistics?

The Georgia voter suppression lie has been covered much more, universally across all networks.

And that has actually had real world consequences.

You, a useful idiot, nodded along the entire time

i guess some of y'all want one set of standards for the deza you peddle

and another set for the enemy of the people

sorry to call out the hypocrisy

Bafflingly, CBS News is standing by this atrocious hit job. "For over 50 years, the facts reported by 60 Minutes have often stirred debate and prompted strong reactions," said the network in a statement released Tuesday. "Our story Sunday night speaks for itself."

Oof

CBS and 60 Minutes in particular have a history of being hackish. I've often felt that conservative complaints about the liberal media paint with too broad a brush. The network news at CBS and NBC and ABC are not identical. The WaPo and Times have their biases, but they are not the same. CNN is a whole other kettle of fish and much different from the CNN of 20 years ago.

They are hardly the first news to edit down a statement.

Heres Fox News running digitally altered images.

Here is Fox New editing a video to not show police pulling guns on and handcuffing black family that flagged them down to try and stop looters.

There was also the time Fox News showed Ron Paul getting booed after winning the CPAC strawpoll which was from years before. What actually happened was he got cheered heavily.

Heres a statement from a former Fox News producer " The roots of Fox News Channel's day-to-day on-air bias are actual and direct. They come in the form of an executive memo distributed electronically each morning, addressing what stories will be covered and, often, suggesting how they should be covered. To the newsroom personnel responsible for the channel's daytime programming, The Memo is the Bible. If, on any given day, you notice that the Fox anchors seem to be trying to drive a particular point home, you can bet The Memo is behind it."

An email from Bill Sammon who was Fox News's Washington managing editor instructed anchors to use "government option" instead of "public option" because their polls showed people were split when on health care when using the phrase "public option" and overwhelmingly against it if the term "government option" and if they had to use the phrase "public option" that they should call it the "so-called public option"

Another leaked memo from John Moody the Executive VP of news at Fox News instructed anchors use positive language when discussing pro-life viewpoints, the Iraq War, and tax cuts, as well as requesting that the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal be put in context with the other violence in the area

So sorry about your damn narrative. Try and put some more thought into the next one.
