I understand a principled Libertarian like yourself wholeheartedly believes in freedom and the constitution with all your soul. We need that in this world but we also have to understand the world that is around us. The left is going to do everything possible to destroy what was built by those before us in their quest for power.

Trump is an idiot and we should absolutely have a more 'measured' person in the white house but he was absolutely the only person that could have beaten the Progressive propaganda machine. We live in dangerous times and what Amash did in reality will only destroy what Amash wants in the long term. The left will use people like that for the time being and completely disregard him when they assume power.

Like it or not the populist movement around the world is a CONSERVATIVE/LIBERTARIAN movement much more than the socialism progressive movement. There is no middle ground anymore. We have to put aside our differences and realize whats at stake here.

No, it isn't. It bends conservative on a number of issues, but it's anything but libertarian. In fact, its economics are pretty much a direct opposite of the free trade espoused by libertarians.

No, it doesn't. You equate populism with libertarianism in any sense. They just don't fit together. There are left populists as well. I would argue that most of the populist movements in Europe aren't truly conservative. The anti-immigrant Danes and Le Pen in France love the social welfare state. They just don't want immigrants to have access to it.

Your youth shows yet again. In the 1950s and 1960s, it was the conservative movement that was censoring everything. And censorship today isn't solely the domain of the Left. Witness Mike Huckabee: Bluenose Deluxe.
